The native A. nidulansIATexhibited a molecular mass of 40 kDa by gel filtration. TheP. chrysogenumIATshowedamolecularmassof 29 kDabygel filtration (corresponding to the b subunit of theenzyme) but the undissociated 40-kDa heterodimer wasnever observed even in crude extracts.
