Thông tin tài liệu:
Genetic variability and character association for grain yield and its component traits were studied in a set of 90 rice genotypes under rainfed direct seeded condition of Assam. Highest genotypic coefficient of variation was observed for panicle weight, followed by number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant and grain yield. Heritability in broad sense was highest for grain weight followed by days to flowering and plant height. High magnitude of heritability, however, was observed for all the traits under study. Panicle weight exhibited highest genetic advance as per cent of mean followed by number of primary branches per plant and number of secondary branches per plant.
