There are herbicides which show prolonged persistence in soil resulting in reduced weed infestation in succeeding crops in the system. Contrary to this, sometimes undesirable herbicide in respect to crop its dose, time and method of application may lead to residual hazards in soil and produced, which can be harmful for human and animals (Arora et al., 2013). Pertinent review on “weed management in blackgram and residual effect of herbicides on succeeding mustard crop” has been presented here.
