Aging is accompanied by a gradual deterioration of cellfunctions. Mitochondrial dysfunction and accumulation ofprotein damage have been proposed to contribute to thisprocess. The present study was carried out to examine theeffects of aging in mitochondrial matrix isolated from ratliver.
