One of the characteristic features of the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arth-ritis is synovial hyperplasia. We have reported previously that metastaticlymph node 51 (MLN51) and granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulatingfactor (GM-CSF) are involved in the proliferation of fibroblast-like synovi-ocytes in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.
