Thông tin tài liệu:
Previous results showed that mRNA encoding a putativeaquaporin (AQP) (GenBankaccession number AF218314)is present in the tracheolar cells associated with femaleAedes aegyptiMalpighian tubules. In this study, immuno-histochemistry detected the protein,AeaAQP, also in tra-cheolar cells, suggesting its involvement in water movementin the respiratory system. When expressed in Xenopusoocytes,AeaAQP increased the osmotic water permeabilityfrom15·10)6to 150 ·10)6mÆs)1, whichwas inhibited bymercury ions. No permeability to glycerol or other solutewas observed....
