The in vitro Entamoeba histolytica pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase(EhPFOR) kinetic properties and the effect of oxidative stress on glycolyticpathway enzymes and fluxes in live trophozoites were evaluated.EhPFORshowed a strong preference for pyruvate as substrate over other oxoacids.
