Hyaluronan-binding protein 1 (HABP1), a ubiquitousmultifunctional protein, interacts with hyaluronan, globularhead of complement component 1q (gC1q), and clusteredmannose and has been shown to be involved in cell sig-nalling.In vitro, this recombinant protein isolated fromhuman ®broblast exists in dierent oligomeric forms, as isevident from the results of various independent techniquesin near-physiological conditions.
