Effect of oleoresin heat treatment on mechanical and physical properties of the bamboo Thyrsostachys siamensis

Bamboo is one of the important vegetative resources after plantation wood and is a major raw material for the forest product industry. In Vietnam, bamboo has become the main material for industrial manufacturing of round and laminated bamboo furniture and parquet. The bamboo Thyrsostachys siamensis with its Vietnamese name “Tam Vong” is one of the most common species growing mainly as a forest and also largely cultivated in the provinces Binh Thuan, Gia Lai, Kong Tum, Lam Dong and Tay Ninh.
