I.Objectives. -After the lesson, Ss will be able to know the differences between the city and the country side. - To drill Ss listening and speaking skills. II. Teaching aids. Text book, work book,tape + cassette. III. Teaching procedure 1. Organization: 2. Oral test: - Ask Ss to do the exercises b1 (96) 3. Presentation: A. Warm up. -Ask Ss to look at the questions in exercise 2 ( p151). -Ask Ss to note the question b and c.( ask them to make alist of diferences between living in the city and living in the country side. In the city: - there are a lot of entertainments: theaters, cinemas, zoo, parks..... - have chances to study.... - easy to travel. But: - Crowded, noisy, much trafic.... In the countryside: - Quiet, peaceful, a little trafic, and fresh air. But: few entertainments, boring, and difficult to travel....... *Pre- listening. -Ask ss to look at the pictures in the text book and then ask them to work in pairs to give the meaning of each picture. -Read aloud the sentences: a. Play chess - play table tennis. - Listen to music ( CDs). - See a movie -Watch a soccer match. - Go to the restaurant. *While - listening. -Ask Ss to listen to the tape and match the name with each activity. -Play the tape three times and ask Ss to work in pairs to share the answers to partners . and then give the correct answers. Ba: played table tennis. Hoa: played chess. Nga: saw a movie. Nam: listened to CDs. Lan: went to a restaurant. An: watched a soccer match. -Ask Ss to read the sentences again. *Post - listening. -Ask Ss to work in pairs to practice asking and answering about the activities they did yesterday. P1:-What did you do yesterday evening ? P2: I watch a cartoon. Call some pairs to speak aloud in front of the rest. -And ask them to speak about the place they are living. In my place, the air is fresh and it is very quiet. The goods here are cheap but not available....... 4. Consolidation: - -Ask ss to note the main conteny of the lesson: The differences between the city and the countryside. And the thing you often do in your village. 5.
