Point and say: - T: asks Ss to look at the picture in the book and think of the names of the things. - T: asks Ss to call out the names of things in the picture , using There is / There are .... . - T: asks Ss to practice in pairs. - T: calls some pairs to practice aloud. - T: corrects if necessary. b. Ask and answer: - T: asks Ss to recall some prepositions of place. - Ss: revise those prepositions . - T: writes them on the BB: in on under next to near behind ........... - T: asks Ss to practice asking and answering the position of the given things in the box. EX: A: Is there a bookshelf? B: Yes, there is. A: Where is it? B: It’s on the wall. - T: gets Ss to practice in pairs. - T: calls some pairs to practice aloud. - T: gives some remarks. *Production : -T: asks Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer the position of each object in the class. - T: calls some pairs to perform in front of the class. - Others can make any correction or addition. -T: corrects if necessary. 4. Consolidation: - Remind Ss the prepositions of place. - Get Ss to say the position of some real things in their house. 5. Homework: - Review the prepositions of place. - Do the Ex in workbook.
