Warm- up: T asks Ss some questions about their schedules in Vietnamese . -What time is it ? -What time do you go school ? -What time do you get up ? -What time do classes start ? - What time do they finish ? - What time do you have lunch ? -What time do you go to bed ? B. Presentation: (P.P.P) *Pre-teach : - T tresents some new words : A quarter : 1/4 hour = 15 minutes Half :1/2 hour = 30 minutes Past : hon To : kem E.g : half past five = 5.30 A quarter past five : 5.15 A quarter to four : 4h kem 15 = 3.45 Ten to five : 5 kem 10 = 4.50 - Give some guided questions:(in Vietnamese) What time is it now? What time do you go to school? *Practice : - T asks Ss to listen to the tape twice - T asks Ss to listen an repeat after the tape . - T asks Ss to work in pairs to practice asking for and stating the time in part 1/Tbook/P42. - T calls some pairs to perform in front of the class.others can make any correction or addition. - T corrects if necessary . E.g : S1.- What time is it ? S2.- It is (‘s) seven o’clock/five to four.... *Production : - T asks Ss to work in pairs to ask and anwer about their schedules .(T/P2/P42) . - E.g : S1 : What time do you get up ? S2 : I get up at 6 o’clock . S1 : What time do classes start ? S2 : They start at a quarter past seven . .................................................................? 4.
