Class organization (1 minute) 2. Check – up (5 minutes) - Some pairs of Ss do task 2 and task 4 (speaking) again 3. New lesson (35 minutes) STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES 1. Before you listen Before you listen - Work in pairs, find out the questions - Instructs Ss to give questions + What’s the title of the book? + Who’s the author? - Instructs Ss to read the words in “listen + What’s the main theme of the book? and repeat” + Who’s the main character? - Read out the words in “listen and repeat” and check understanding 2. While you listen While you listen Task 1 - Asks Ss to pay attention to key words - Read out the information in task 1, check understanding and guess the answer if possible. - Plays the tape twice - Work individually listen to the tape and do task 1 - Calls some Ss to give the answers - Compare the answer with their partners 1.
