Students: Read Unit 11 – speaking at homeIII. PROCEDURE 1. Class organization (1 minute) 2. Check – up (5 minutes) - Some students read and write down new words and phrases - Some students translate the reading passage into Vietnamese 3. New lesson (35 minutes) STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES 1. Task 1 Task 1 - Work in pairs, complete and then practice conversation - Instructs Ss to answer the question 1 + What sort/kind of books do you like reading? - Asks some pairs of Ss to present + How do you often read books? + When do you often read books? 2. Task 2 Task 2 - Work in pairs, make a similar conversation - Calls some pairs of Ss to present their + I like reading many kinds of books: short and funny conversation stories, picture stories, detective stories, thrillers, novel, science fiction books, love/romance stories. + I read these books carefully and slowly to get the detail + At first, I look at the first few pages of the book. If it’s a good book, then I read it carefully and slowly. + I only taste these books. I read few pages quickly + I often read books before going to bed, in my free time, during the break at school, on the way home 3.
