II / Pre – writing : Introduce the topic of the writing and some new words to Ss 1. Pre- teach vocabulary : - to thank Sb for sth T- Ss Eg : She thanked me for helping her - to cheer Sb up = to make Sb feel happier - to come over ( translation )Have Ss copy Whole class* Checking technique : slap the board2. Set the scene- Ask Ss to close their books and listen “ TeacherNga was sick and she had to go to thehospital . After she left the hospital , shewrote a thank – you note to Hoa . Why andwhat did she write ? “3. True / False Predictions- Hang the poster with the statements on theboarda. Nga writes to thank Hoa for some comecandy .b. Hoa,s gift cheered Nga up .c. Nga ,d like Hoa to see her at the hospital . Individuald. Nga is very bored now .e. Nga writes the letter at the hospital .- Ask Ss to read the statements and predict .
