This paper explored the current situation of livelihood and exploitation of mangrove ecosystem resources, the difficulties in natural resource management and exploitation, the impacts of natural resource exploitation and solutions to protect the mangrove ecosystem in the coastal commune of Thanh Phu. The study employed mixed research methods including document and thematic analysis, the sustainable livelihood framework approach by DFID, questionnaire and SWOT.
