NĐ1 trong giai đoạn 2010 - 2014. Đánh giá các kết quả về chức năng phục hồi của dạng vai, gấp khuỷu và hoạt động bàn tay sau mổ những trường hợp tái khám trên 2 năm dựa trên phân loại Mallet. Methods: retrospective from 2010 to 2014 all of OBP cases in which is recommended the surgery for the exploration on the brachial plexus injuries withrecovery stop in children from 3 months to 8 months old. This technique consists of resection of the neuroma then makes the interpositional nerve grafts from the Sural nerve sources. This surgery takes place at the HTO and Pediatric Hospital No.1 HCMC. Evaluating to the results of surgery which based on the restauration of the shoulder function, useful elbow function and regain hand function we choice the cases which followed-up more 1 year. Results: recorded 42 cases surgery was performed the procedures in children that noted improvement in elbow flexion; there are 18 cases got complete and nearly complete palsy in which got 6 cases concerning to the Horner sign. No fatal complications. One case got pulmonary problem with the phrenic nerve paralysis after surgery. The long-term functional results of the cases follow-up visit during 1-5 years, there are total of 28 cases. Of the 3 cases practiced the bundles of nerve graft on the 3 stump of roots to superior or inferior trunks that depends on the goals to reinnervate the biceps muscle or the hand, 16 cases had nerve graft on 2 roots and 9 cases only found out nerve graft only the 1 root. Results rehabilitation of shoulder got 100% with abduction movement (level up > 90 o with 25/28 cases or 89.3%), elbow flexion to > 90 o with 15/28 cases or 53.6 % and useful active hands and fingers gripping appears in 20/28 cases or 71.4%. Recovery functional outcome tends to be proportional to the number of transplanted nerve roots. Conclusion: Nervous exploration and early nerve grafting for effective results on the available functions primarily for the shoulder, then for elbow function, and hand function may depend on the level of the initial injury is in severe or not.
