The economic development of Vietnam has to be viewed in the context of long periods of wars. It is the context of long periods of wars that has caused loss of people’s lives and damage to property, public facilities and resources.3. Despite the great improvement in the womanstatus, other things must be done to improvewomen’s health, nutrition and education.4. The television network is being establishedthroughout the country. Apart from the relativelymodern and long-standing television stations in Hanoiand Ho Chi Minh City, 25 provincial stations were set upin 1988. These relay the important transmissions of thecentral TV stations and broadcast their ownprogrammes.5. Nowadays, the world has been facing a number of serious problems in spite of the fact that there have been dramatic progresses in science, technology and knowledge. Despite many difficulties resulting from severeweather, the agricultural production in our province hasmade a number of positive changes, playing a vital rolein the economy, ensuring the food security, creating thestable income and life of the majority of the localpeasants.
