We study the existence and asymptotic behavior of weak solutions to a class of semilinear degenerate parabolic equations with exponential nonlinearities. The main novelty of our result is that no restriction on the upper growth of the nonlinearities is imposed. More specific, we prove the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions by utilizing the compactness method and weak convergence techniques in Orlicz spaces, then we prove the existence of global attractors for the semigroup generated by the problem in various spaces.
