First, computers have circuits forperformingarithmeticoperations,suchas:addition,subtraction,division,multiplicationandexponentiation.Second,computershaveameansofcommunicatingwiththeuser. Third, computers have circuits which can make decisions. The kinds of decisionswhichcomputercircuitscanmakearenotofthetype:Whowouldwinawarbetweentwocountries?orWhoistherichestpersonintheworld?Thecomputercanonlydecidethreethings,named:Isonenumberlessthananother?Aretwonumbersequal?and,Isonenumbergreaterthananother?
