Form-focused instruction (FFI) is an effective teaching technique for enhancing learners’ accurate oral performance. This action research aims at investigating the impacts of FFI in the communicative teaching context through students’ attitudes. In order to teach learners how to use past tenses in communication, the picture-based storytelling activity was applied in a 26-EFL-student communicative class of a university in Vietnam.
