Listening is considered to be a crucial language skill in the language acquisition process, yet it has been relegated for a long time to a marginal place in the second language teaching curriculums. Thanks to the advent of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and the need of acquiring the language proficiency, the learning and teaching of listening started to attract more attention in the nature of listening and its role in English Language Teaching issues.
